Relationship among Negative Urgency, Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Marital Satisfaction in Married Individuals

Objective: The purpose of the present study is to find out the Relationship among Negative urgency, Depression, Anxiety, Stress and marital satisfaction among Married couples.
Hypothesis: Based on the literature review, this study intends to investigate the following hypothesis H1 There is a significant relationship among negative urgency, depression, anxiety and stress.H2 There is a relationship between negative urgency and marital satisfaction in married individuals.H3 Sensation seeking will significantly predict anxiety and stress among married individuals.
Method:The sample size of the study will be 120 individuals, 60 males and 60 females, with the age range of 21-30, will be included. The individuals of 2-3 years of marriage will be included. Purposive sampling technique is used to gather data from married individuals. The scales of the study will be S-UPPS-P Impulsive Behavior Scale (Cyders et al., 2014), Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS-21) (Syd Lovibond and Peter Lovibond,1995) and ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS) Scale (Fowers,1990) to assess the study variables.
Statistical analysis is done by using SPSS. Descriptive statistics,Pearson correlation, and Regression are used in the present research to test the relationship among variables. There is a significant positive relationship of negative urgency with anxiety, stress and marital satisfaction. But there is an insignificant relationship of negative urgency with depression.
